A Neuroscience Centre housing a Siemens 3T Prisma MRI scanner and MRI-compatible TMS, EEG/ERP and thermal stimulator for generating pain
Virtual reality, vision, pain, sensory and psychophysiology labs
Eye-tracking facilities for in-lab and remote testing
Wet lab
Nutrition lab
Infant observation rooms

Collaborations and funding

We have active collaborations with other departments and research centres within the University as well as with external institutions.

We receive funding from the Economic and Social Research Council, Medical Research Council, and the wider University, and have a strong track record of securing funding from other public and private sector sources.

We also offer a cotutelle PhD, where you study jointly at two different institutions, with our partner institution Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.

I have thoroughly enjoyed studying here. The support of my fellow PhD students and the anxiety research group within which I work has been invaluable throughout the PhD process.
