This year's Doctoral Research Conference will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 18 June 2025 in the Palmer Building, Whiteknights Campus. This event is open to all doctoral researchers and staff from across the University and showcases the diversity of doctoral research undertaken at Reading. The conference provides an opportunity to gain an appreciation of the great things doctoral researchers do across a wide range of disciplines.
The conference will include presentations from the Research for a Better World finalists and the ever-popular Three Minute Thesis Competition (3MT©). It will also include an exhibition of entries to the Research Poster Competition, Research Image Competition, Research Life in Pictures Competition and the Research Object Competition. There will be a performance of poetry and bedtime stories. The conference will also feature guest speaker Dr Mark Dallas, Academic Champion for Public Engagement with Research.
